Berka Semi Strategika is a center for the study and development of regional potential and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. This institution was established on April 1 2018 and is a revitalization of the previous institution called the SEM Institute Foundation. Berka Semi Strategika is engaged in research and community empowerment to increase regional competitiveness and excellence, the independence of the business community, and development in Indonesia.

The presence of this institution departs from the rapid development of science, technology, and information in Indonesia which influences every line of policy. As a center for community research and empowerment, Berka Semi Strategika is a pioneer of an institution engaged in identifying regional advantages through its potential. Berka Semi Strategika is determined to play a role in potential identification studies, policies, and the development of knowledge networks, support systems, and resources for researchers and actors in dealing with problems.
